Deepesh Shrestha Biography: Early Life, Career and  Entrepreneurship

Deepesh Shrestha is a former Radio Jockey, Video Jockey, Lyricist, Music Video Director, Master of Ceremonies (MC), Event Producer and Manager and a Television Host. Mr. Shrestha has been involved with the Nepal Entertainment Industry since 1996, which marks 24 years of togetherness.

Early and Personal Life

Deepesh Shrestha was born in November 1977 in Kathmandu, Nepal. He attended Tribhuvan University in Nepal and later joined Australian Film, Television and Radio School in Australia

Deepesh is married to Meena Gauchan and has 1 child who all live in Australia right now. 

Contribution to Nepali Entertainment Industry

Preceding the program director, He directed many Nepali music videos and TV advertisements. His fantastic voice landed him host many award functions, namely Hits FM Music Awards, and Miss Nepal, give  the voice to characters in animated videos and movies, Love Line show. 

Not only that, he became active in Nepali News via Nepalnews.com. Mr.Shrestha is the pioneer of fursad.com, which included Nepal’s first online radio, “Radio Jhatka”.

New ventures in Australia

Later, he went to Australia to get excellence in Filmmaking. In Australia , he worked in an Event Management Company to promote Nepali Entertainment Industry in the foreign land. Mr.Shrestha established Manoranjan International. This company would organize concerts and events in Australia. The concerts featured many top Nepali artists. Along with that Radio Jhatka  franchise was launched in Australia in 2010 with Manoranjan International.

Photography and Videography

Mr. Shrestha was always interested in learning more about computers. He had done every possible course available back then in the late 90’s. He started designing and publishing newsletters with the name XS Magazine while working with Hits F.M. South. Later working with Mercantile magazine he developed greater interest in photography. Later, in Australia he got an improvement with this art. Also, he created a youtube channel, “The Deepesh Show” where he would upload the tutorials on photography, videography and technology to help the fellow Nepali as well, how wise and foresighted !!

When you have a show with your name in it, that is the most awesome and thrilling experience one can have. Of Course, it matters if funding is from your pocket or from others. But if you have it in either ways and become well-functioning and get to touch the hearts of the audience , your show is going to make you rain money and get some great fans to get your back. The story of once common people getting hyped and appreciated for their pure passion is what, “The Deepesh Show” aims to narrate.

The Deepesh show  is a platform which allows story-telling from the guests.The stories will not just be about the career and success, it is more about the whole journey, struggle, weak and lonely time, high and lows, sweet and salty days. Unheard funny,emotional, and motivating stories would be narrated during the informal and light-hearted talk with the very own, DeepeshShrestha. The first episode of the podcast was  aired on April 11, with Sanjeev Singh,a singer well known for the song, “Muglaan hera jadaichhu”,during the lockdown period in 2020.The two hours of happy time is  broadcasted live on Facebook, YouTube and Periscope every Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 2PM (GMT +5.45).

As a Nepali citizen longing to see more improvements and changes in Nepali Entertainment Industry, we all must support Mr.Deepesh Shrestha.
